We were passing through town so we only stayed one night. It was very peaceful and a great price!

Private and quiet

no frills 55 plus park with great rates

I lived at Secluded Acres for about 18 months. Worst 18 months of my life. For starters, you are about two hundred yards from a 100,000W FM transmitter. Talk about brain damage from puny cell phones! I rated my experience as one star (hated it) but google automatically changes it to two stars for some reason. As another reviewer stated, the electricity goes out every month (for a minimum of 4 hours but usually 8-12 hours); barking and fighting dogs too numerous to mention (one dog continuously barked every afternoon from 1:00PM to 5:30PM for some reason); single access road is made from soft stone which easily breaks down into dust; with no speed limit the zooming pick-ups/cars stir up so much dust it is pointless to wash your car and unwise to leave your RV door or windows open unless you want to dust everything off each day; even keeping doors and windows closed, dust still coats everything inside after a couple of weeks; owner has no rules so people pretty much do as they please (maybe this appeals to you); honking car horns at all hours of the day and night (owner who lives adjacent to the property has a locomotive air horn on his semi which he likes to blow at 11:00 pm or 4:00 am); owner has barn nearby and puts cows there who are giving birth so cows are mooing all night long; owner does not clean public toilets and showers and doors to these do not close properly, or lock), same for the washateria; there is no property manager so the place is very poorly looked after; there in only one large, single mailbox for everyone to receive mail (always filled with mail sent to people who have moved - owner does not clean out the box or forward the mail; virtually impossible to receive UPS/Fed Ex packages there (the two times I tried, the packages were stolen); someone attempted to break into my RV several times (owner claimed it was just my imagination but the marks on my door where a screwdriver was used to try to pry the door open prove otherwise) and owner (who has some severe mental issues) gets mad if you call the police for any reason. BTW,owner claims unlimited hot water for the public showers but that is a joke - shower handles are broke for many months now. In my many, many years of living, it is the worst crap-hole I have ever lived in. Check out Antique Capital RV Park in Gladewater, a much better experience...for the same price.

Nice and clean RV park. The wifi didn't work for me but I was on the edge of the outside of the park. Nice facilities. The on-site propane fill station was pretty handy.
