These people are difficult to deal with and are a perfect example of why I hate dealing with utility companies. I recently moved and I called the water department on a Friday to cancel my old account and start service in my name at the new address. The lady I spoke with said the previous owner had not called yet and I would have to wait till that happens to make the switch. So Monday rolls around, and before I get a chance to call them again they shut my water off at my new house and then charge me a higher than normal reconnect fee to get it turned back on the same day. These guys really want to shut your water off. They are not open on weekends but expected me to somehow contact them anyway? It is probably just a scam to make money off of honest people. One more thing, it it very difficult to get through to this office on the phone and they often hang up on you while you are on hold.
