Front Desk Staff seemed nice and professional, but did not seem to care or have the authority to address any issues and also claimed no manager was on duty until Monday. Front Desk Staff indicated all they could do did was take our name, note the issues, and someone would contact us on Monday morning.
Terrible – Bad Experience
Guestroom Bath has a door that is designed to roll on a track, it does not close completely, has no lock or a way to secure, and there is no real privacy in the bathroom, with a 7 year old granddaughter staying with us kind of awkward. If you are traveling alone or as a couple, it may be fine, but if you have kids with you or roommates you should think twice.
Bad experience, will not stay there again, encourage others to do the same.
After receiving no call on Monday morning as promised, I called and had to leave a message Monday afternoon, the General Manager did return our call offered to comp our Breakfast and indicated he would address internally with the staff, seems to me something more should have been done for a guests with such a bad experience.
Stayed there for a wedding this weekend. Top notch service. Employees were very nice and enjoyed visiting with them. Room was very comfortable. Would stay there again when in Longview.
Top notch hotel! From the lobby to the room it is awesome! Korie made our visit much more pleasant, she is great at her job and always happy to help.
The Hotel definitely has sound / noise transmission issues in adjoining room walls and from the floors above, could hear almost everything and everyone walking from the room above. The wood floors which may look nice but definitely adds to the noise transmission issues.
Contacted Front Desk when someone seemed to be moaning in pain and extremely loud party / noises / talking from the adjacent room late during the night, to the best of our knowledge nothing was ever done, because it continued. Front Desk would not confirm or deny that they had a record of our complaint.
We have stayed at several Hilton Garden Inns and we always have a GREAT experience. Their policy of not being "pet friendly" ensures a clean room and "pet-spot-free" carpet so that you feel comfortable enough to walk barefoot on it and you can leave your house shoes at home;). Our most recent stay was at the Longview, Texas location and as usual it was fantastic and very welcoming. When you stay here you can say goodbye to the "ho hum continental dried-out rubber-eggs/pancake breakfast"! You can actually order a delicious cooked-to-order breakfast for $10.95, which also includes the buffet of fruits, yogurt, breads, juices and more. The staff is very "Texas friendly" and all the staff that we encountered went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and our needs were quickly accommodated with a broad Texas smile. From all the desk clerks that we dealt with to our breakfast waitress, all of them made us look forward to a return visit and we even caught a few hugs as we were leaving as if we were family.
The Hotel appeared to have a low occupancy, staff reported approx. 60% occupied, not sure why would the group everyone so close together instead of spacing out people to avoid some of these type of sound / noise issues from arising.
Most likely, one of the best looking and located Hotel in Longview. However, our one Night was terrible and overall a miserable experience.
P.S. I normally don't review hotels because it would be nothing but complaints but so glad to have found a Super Hotel worth bragging about!!!
There was a slight problem with the pool area and staff saying there could be no food in the pool area even though there is no rule on the rule board about it. There might be now but when we were there for my daughters birthday party it was not there and my father in law has pictures to back this up, but none the less. Other than that slight problem they were great.
Thanks Hilton Garden Inn you're the only place we'll be staying in the future........We Love You as our family and we look forward to our next visit.
