Cracker barrel is one of my favorite places to go when I travel to the mid-west and the east coast. If you love country-style cooking, their breakfasts are phenomenal. A great place to have lunch or dinner too. The servers are always pleasant and friendly, just like you'd expect southern hospitality to be It's a win, trust me ;)
Love crackle barrel! Great southern food.. I always order the chicken fried chicken with a side of dumplings... servers are very kind and it's a great place to go out with the family
The first thing that happened was the waitress coming to our table after taking our order 15 minutes earlier and informing us that she had forgotten to put in our order. She then had to be reminded what was ordered. I ordered the pot roast which was delicious, but my husband's order of Chicken biscuits was very dry so he attempted to get the attention of our waitress in order to get some mayo or something to help with the dryness, but when he looked over at her each time, she turned and headed to the kitchen. I had finished my meal in the meantime, and still no help at our table. She was more interested in tending to a large table...bigger tip I supposed. We explained what occurred to the manager and he took my husband's meal off the ticket at least. The was the first time we had a bad experience at a Cracker Barrel and we've been to many in our travels. I cannot recommend this particular one, and will not return.
I told myself I would never go to an CB again, but it was so close to the hotel, I went anyway. "Are you having a blessed day?" Is the greeting I receive from my waiter. Can't say as I was, but I understand around here that passes for, "How you all doing?" I placed my order, they have nothing decaffeinated except for water and soda pop, by the way. The only thing that arrived hot was the broccoli, everything else was cold, or at best like warm. $18 including tip for one person for bad food. Again, I won't be back.
Food was good. Waitress not so good. She did not bring our food which is okay...but only checked on us once. I will be back and hope for better service next time.
